elbcontor models historic architecture with precision – creating reliable perspectives for planning and geometric certainty in demanding projects. We survey complex building structures and reconstruct them digitally, for instance as Heritage BIM models.
Our work supports architects, real estate companies, property owners, public sector clients, housing companies, cultural and heritage institutions, and private owners. Precise. Detailed. Multidimensional.
elbcontor is a Dialogue Partner of BIM Allianz e.V., contributing its expertise in the digital capture and modelling of existing buildings to the network. As part of the Existing Buildings Working Group, we contribute to the professional exchange on reliable digital building information for design and transformation in existing buildings.
Detailed heritage conservation: elbcontor is creating a precise Heritage BIM (HBIM) model of "Schloss Rauenstein". The digital twin represents all spatial and structural aspects of the 17th-century building in its current state. It thus serves as a reliable basis for future interventions and as an archive for continuous documentation.
Continuing a story: As a basis for planning the future restoration, elbcontor creates a realistic Heritage BIM model of the historic three-winged mansion. The building is captured in its entirety, including all traces of time. An exact snapshot of the present moment.
Another accolade for our endeavors: elbcontor and N3 Vision have been named Winner of the German Design Award in the Excellent Communications Design category. According to the jury of German Design Council, the “remarkable execution sets new standards within its discipline.“
elbcontor is gaining an international reputation. Our brand design, co-created with the agency N3 Vision, has been honoured with the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2025. The award ceremony on 7 November 2025 recognized the consistency and value of our brand identity as well as our architectural plans.
Commissioned by stephankoch architekten, elbcontor is contributing to the redesign of a heritage villa in Munich West, an exclusive residential area. Capturing both the building and its garden, we are creating a textured 3D model with the highest level of detail – as charming as the former artist’s house itself.
Within the framework of its nationwide presence, McDonald’s is set to develop additional spaces. To this end, elbcontor is constructing BIM models of historic and contemporary buildings across several German states, producing floor plans, sections, and elevations that provide a precise foundation for architects – for the next stage in a building’s lifecycle.
elbcontor has been tasked by Technische Universität Dresden with capturing a historic hunting lodge and creating highly precise architectural drawings. Located in Tharandter Wald, this cultural monument — whose origins trace back to the 13th century — is set to be transformed into a conference center. We are honoured to contribute with our Heritage BIM expertise.
We have been commissioned to create a photorealistic 3D representation of the renowned Villa am Waldpark. Both the mansion, built in 1874, and its expansive 10,500 m² estate — including a park with sculptures, stream, mature trees, and a coach house — will be reconstructed by elbcontor in an elaborate Heritage BIM model.
The beautifully designed new branding reflects our high standards. The design, language, online presence, and printed materials have undergone a complete makeover. To fulfil the most exacting standards, Berlin-based N3 VISION have also refined the project folder in which we hand over our work: precise, board-bound beauty for our clients.
An historic building boasting high-end accommodation and Michelin-starred cuisine. We have been commissioned to capture the property and to update the plans. Our precise model also includes the surrounding park and depicts the entire ensemble in a series of finely detailed 2D architectural drawings: elevation views, floor plans, and cross sections.
This postmodern office building with a floorspace of 40,000 m² is to be documented in its entirety, including interiors. Based on the captured point clouds, we are creating a BIM model to optimise building operations. It is finished with authentic textures and, alongside the exact spatial structures, includes building services and furnishings.
